Based on the novel "Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth" by Hermann Hesse. The original story revolves around the protagonist Emil Sinclair who grows up with a polarized world view. Growing up all he gets to know is under the influence of christian dogmas and only knows peace and love by his parents. It all starts to crumble as he gets to know Max Demian who shows him a different perspective on life and makes him discover himself by connecting with his subconsciousness.
In the short film the process of individuation is based on an act of cruelty. Emil Sinclair falls victim to a evil predator Kromer who forces him to unlock the unknown and dark side of himself.
